Cribbing and wind sucking are experienced by many owners and veterinarians as one of the most problematic equine stereotypies, which is perceived as virtually unable to be cured.  The course Equine Clinical Ethology – Cribbing & Wind sucking is aimed at an international audience which already has a good basic understanding of equine behaviour. This course is specifically designed for equine veterinarians to provide a condensed insight in the causation, diagnosis, treatment (and yes it can be stopped) and prevention of the “stable vice” cribbing and wind sucking (preferably referred to as stereotypic behaviour). However, animal science students and equine professionals with a higher professional education may also appreciate the content of this course. This course consists of 1 module that includes 3 video’s (total lecture time 123 min), several exercises and supplementary material. More information can be found here.

Applied Equine Sport Physiology

The Applied Equine Sport Physiology (AESP01-EN) gives an in-depth grounding in equine exercise physiology and training principles. The AESP01 course is developed by Dr Carolien Munsters, owner of Moxie Sport. The content of this course may also function as a preparation for “live courses” for professionals organised by Moxie Sport and/or Equine Integration. This Level 2-3 ANIVADO course is aimed at equine professionals with higher professional education or have an experience level equal to this. The course is also of interest to BSc & MSc students who want to learn more about applied sport physiology of the horse. This course translates theory into practice. We refer to the Basic Sport Physiology course (Dutch/English/Spanish) for those who would like to study this topic (first) on the foundation level. The Applied Equine Sport Physiology (AESP01-EN) involves over 320 minutes of video material (lectures and example videos).  Dr Carolien Munsters explains how to interpret the heart rate measurements using a variety of example videos of exercising horses. More information can be found here
